Aluru Sambasiva Reddy, the Founder Secretary of SRIT, born in an ordinary middle class Farmer family in East Narasapuram, a village in Singanamal Mandal of Anantapur District. Though his parents were uneducated,  his mother Late Smt. Aluru narayamma’s supported and encouraged him  towards studies. He finished schooling at Govt. High School in Singanamal. He was an enthusiastic and hardworking student and very intuitive in learning new things. He stood first in class till SSC. Though his family was unable to afford for further studies he took the help from his Brother and all his family members and joined Intermediate in SSN Junior College, Ongole. His dream always was to pursue Engineering at University campus. He obtained graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious University JNTUCE  Anantapur and also M.Tech from the same institution.

              With the advice of his teacher and patron Sri Y. Venkata Rami Reddy, Ex Vice chancellor of JNTU Anantapur and Ex Chairman, APPSC joined at Sri Kottam Thulasireddy memorial college of Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Enginnering as Assistant Professor and then became Associate Professor. In his stay of 8 long years, Sri Kottam Thulasi Reddy identified and recognized his unique administrative qualities and enormous organizing abilities. He then moved to college administration and worked as officer in charge for Admissions. He spent quite a time as Training and Placement Officer.  With his bulk of experience and vision, support from his well wishers and family members founded Smt. Aluru Narayanamma Memorial Educational Society after her demise.

              He wanted to serve his native place. The scenario Rayalaseema and drought conditions are known to everyone. He felt that only good quality education can change living conditions. He waited for the right opportunity and after gaining experience in technical education, he established SRIT Engineering College.  So many suggestions were given by his Kith and Kni while selecting name to the college. But Srinivasa Ramanujan achievements at young age and pathetic family conditions which he faced in his childhood. He felt the name should also be inspiring to students. So, he selected the name for college as "Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology".

              Our founder firmly believes, “Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another”. The role of an educator is to bring out the best in every individual and that of an educational institution to provide the best facilities and the right ambience. With this motto and vision he established, SRIT a World class Technological Institute. His vision of providing “Value & Skill based Education” made him adventurous all through & his indomitable will rose to the occasion and facilitated him to lead from the front. His personality has all the nuances of a great human being. He value friendship and show great respect, love and concern to his teachers, his family members and parents in equal measure. He held on his dreams and converted them into reality. His relentless work drove him to success. He helped the students explore their own potential. He made them realize that education, hard work, dedication and commitment to the nation are the only means to get themselvesemployable. 

             Providing the young minds with the vibrant environment for studies has always been his top priority. Under his benign and pragmatic guidance and leadership, SRIT has grown in reputation and merit, today, regarded among the best engineering institutes in India.
