Welcome to the Programmers Club of SRIT!

Our Journey

Established in the year 2012, the Programmers Club has been at the forefront of promoting coding excellence, fostering innovation, and nurturing the technical talents of students from diverse branches. Over the years, we have evolved into a vibrant and dynamic community dedicated to empowering students with the skills they need to thrive in the world of technology.

Objectives:

  • Promote Coding Excellence: We believe that coding is both an art and a science. We provide a platform for students to hone their coding skills, explore programming languages, and tackle real-world challenges.
  • Encourage Innovation: Innovation is at the heart of technology. We inspire students to think outside the box, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to the ever-evolving tech landscape.
  • Facilitate Learning: Learning is a lifelong journey, and we are here to support it. We offer workshops, competitions, and resources to enhance students’ technical knowledge and soft skills.
  • Foster Collaboration: Collaboration is key to success in the tech industry. We encourage teamwork, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among students from diverse academic backgrounds.

Coding Challenges: We organize coding challenges and hackathons that test students’ problem-solving abilities, coding proficiency, and creativity. These challenges provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and win exciting prizes.

Quiz Competitions: Our quiz competitions cover a wide range of technical topics, challenging students to stay updated with the latest trends in the tech world. It’s an opportunity to test their knowledge and compete with their peers.

Workshops and Seminars: We host workshops and seminars on emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry best practices. These sessions are led by experts and provide valuable insights to students.

Tech Talks: Programmers Club invites industry professionals to share their experiences and expertise with students. These tech talks offer valuable career insights and networking opportunities.

Project Showcases: We encourage students to showcase their innovative projects, whether it’s a mobile app, a website, or a software solution. It’s a chance to inspire others and receive constructive feedback.

The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.

The IEEE fosters the development of standards that often become national and international standards. The organization publishes a number of journals, has many local chapters, and several large societies in special areas, such as the IEEE Computer Society.

  • Provide an opportunity for professionals in pursuing professional development or connecting with like-minded Engineering professionals

  • Platform for enhancing leadership Qualities & communication skills of students

  • Create more student membership benefits at all IEEE levels.

  • Develop student activities (including contests, awards and promotion programs) and encourage students to participate in these activities and represent themselves in the global competition.

  • Foster Student Members’ awareness of IEEE activities and existing benefits.

  • Represent student interests and voice student concerns.

  • Help with communication between existing Branches, Chapters, and Affinity Groups.

  • Increase student membership and develop retention strategies

IEEE – SRIT Student Branch Chapter

SRIT have IEEE student chapter and student members are apread over different streams of engienering such as CSE, ECE and EEE. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its more than 423,000 members in over 160 countries, and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. An IEEE Student Branch provides opportunities to meet and learn from fellow IEEE Student and Graduate Student Members and engage with professional IEEE members locally. An active IEEE Student Branch can be one of the most positive elements of your academic career, offering programs, activities, and professional networking opportunities that build critical skills outside of the classroom.

When students join IEEE, they automatically become members of the IEEE Student Branch at their university or college. Students, like professional members, automatically become members of their local IEEE Section and Region, allowing them to share technical, professional and personal interests with others in IEEE’s worldwide member community.

You will gain exposure by organizing events and interacting with other members, and earn certificates, awards and accolades which gives you an edge over others in placement. All Gallery of IEEE Student Branch are volunteers. But on the basis of experience and responsibility, there are certain positions in the committee.

  • participation in regional conferences, workshops and competitions

  • development of leadership, interpersonal and team building skills
